    Description

    Vehicle Details
    For your consideration is a beautiful & mostly original 1987 Toyota, RN67, 4x4, Xtra Cab pickup. It has the 22re motor and a manual 5 speed transmission.
    I bought this as a daily driver about a year ago. It needed paint badly, but was otherwise extraordinarily straight and clean for a 33 year old truck. The gentleman who owned it had owned it for more than 10 years and put less than 20,000 miles on her.
    While he owned it, he put in a new A/C compressor, new radiator, aftermarket seats & had the top end of the engine rebuilt, including the timing belt of course.
    I had not driven a manual transmission as a daily driver in over 2 decades when I bought this. I have had sciatic nerve problems over the years & I wear braces on both knees. It turns out, a manual tranny only serves to exasperate both issues.
    My plan was to repaint her, put back the factory stripes, get her dialed in mechanically (see below) and sell her for a handsome profit a few years from now...
    Well, she needs the transfer case resealed now. The shop I use needs a couple days to take it apart, determine what parts are needed, order them & do the work... ugh!
    I just don't have time for this kind of thing, although if you decide to buy her, we can negotiate the TC rebuild. I'd have it done by now if it weren't for having to be without her for more than a week.
    At any rate, my loss is your gain! Between the sciatic nerve issues, my knees and the aforementioned, I'm tapping out on this project & passing her along to someone who has time to complete her.
    The pros:
    * she's beautiful, rust free & complete
    * The original glass (w/etched VIN) is all intact
    * new paint 6 months ago.
    * 4x4 is strong & works great.
    * I have the original factory wheels, sleeves (for the lockers) and center caps for the rears
    * also comes with a set of 16" wheels from a mid-2000s Tacoma
    * I have the original camper topper. It needs paint, but is otherwise in good condition. Hinges & slider work, no broken glass.
    Now here is a list of every issue I'm aware of, so you know EXACTLY what you're getting & there are no surprises. Please ask any questions you might have & I'll answer them to the best of my ability.
    * transfer case leaks oil. Needs new seals.
    * tailgate handle is cracked, but works fine.
    * interior dome light doesn't work, but there IS power to the switch. Should be simple.
    * exterior deck light doesn't work. Probably similar fix.
    * lights in bottom right hand corner of instrument cluster ("brake" & "low fuel" come off & on intermittently, not related to brakes and/or low fuel.
    * The panel for the A/C controls is cracked & lacks the proper decals, etc (see pics)
    * she's missing the driver's side front mudflap
    I am selling her "as is". There is no warranty expressed or implied.
    You'll need to arrange for the freight if you don't pick up locally in Gilbert, AZ.
    I am genuinely excited to pass this along to someone who will appreciate her & hopefully take her the last little stretch to complete restoration.
    Happy bidding!
