This popular tie down system was developed by the airline industry. It has become popular with motorcycle enthusiasts looking for a versatile method to tie down their motorcycle when
transporting on a trailer.
The track allows for attachment adjustment every inch. The beveled style is surface mounted. In the middle of the floor a beveled track is favorable to reduce the tripping hazard. If you are mounting track on the perimeter of a trailer there isn't much of a chance for interference therefore the rectangular style will work just as well.
Either style track works well when attached to the top rail of a
pickup trucks'
bed. It can be installed on the top or the side of the rail for cargo stability. It is not recommended to secure a motorcycle to the rail of a trucks' bed. We prefer anchoring to the floor.
It is not recommended to pull the fittings at an angle greater than 45 degrees. As a rule of thumb you lose about half your rating at a 45 degree angle.

SPECIFICATIONS:
• The track is a 6061-T6 alloy extrusion.
• Predrilled 1/4" countersunk holes are on 4" center.
• The track measures 1-3/4" wide x 1/2" thick.
• 8 ft. weighs 6.4 lbs.
Suggested hardware:
1/4" flat cap socket bolts, steel or stainless steel. These are the bolts that have tapered heads and are tightened with allen wrenches. We like to use fender washers and nylon locking nuts underneath.
