    Description

    Poster for the 1959 film Anatomy of a Murder, directed by Otto Preminger. It starred James Stewart, Lee Remick and Ben Gazarra. The film was taken from the novel of the same name, written by John D. Voelker, a Michigan Supreme Court Judge. The film is considered one of the finest court room dramas ever produced. Voelker based the novel on a 1952 murder trial, and the film was the first Hollywood production to deal in a substantial manner with rape.
