These come in squares and they just fit so well in the Mylar bag that it didn’t make sense not to fill the bag, so you get four in each package.
They will come vacuum sealed in 7mil Mylar bags with a 300cc oxygen absorber. The bags have zip seals on them, so they can be resealed after opening to preserve freshness. Packaging this way will keep these ice cream sandwiches fresh for decades, no really.
Before freeze drying the bars weigh about 1.7 oz, after freeze drying they weigh about an ounce each, so about four ounces of freeze dried ice cream sandwiches per package. The fluid ounce measure is 2.75 fl oz and of course the volume does not change after freeze drying.
