Description

Offered for purchase: Neapolitan Ice Cream Mini Scoops.  Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry Ice Cream.
Each bag contains 4 oz. of ice cream (weight before the
freeze drying process.)
The freeze dried weight is between 2 - 2.3 oz - approximately 5-7 mini scoops.
Mini scoops are 1.5" in diameter.  The scoops may shrink or enlarge during the freeze drying process.
About Freeze Drying
Freeze drying is a low temperature dehydrating process which involves freezing the product, lowering pressure, then removing the ice by sublimation. This is in contrast to dehydration by most conventional methods that evaporate water using heat.
Freeze drying results in a high quality product because of the low temperature used in processing. The original shape of the product is maintained and quality of the re-hydrated product is excellent.
How to eat this product
Freeze Dried Ice Cream Scoops do not need to be re-hydrated.  They can be eaten as a crunchy snack.  No refrigeration necessary.

Freeze drying maintains 97% of the nutritional value of the food. Other methods of preservation, such as canning and dehydrating, use high temperatures that destroy much of the food value.
Packaging
We seal everything in FDA & USDA compliant Mylar bags.  We include an oxygen absorber which will keep your food fresh and ready to use for years.  Once the Mylar bag is opened though, be sure to seal it tightly if there are still remaining items in the bag.  Unopened, food items in the Mylar
bag are safe for 25-30 years but once opened and exposed to air, the time drops to just a few months.
Please note: We will package the product well for shipping, but due to the freeze drying process which makes the product brittle, there could be some cracking and separating.
