Quick Connect Capture Plates by PullRite are designed to accommodate a wide variety of the most popular king pin boxes, so you can easily find the one made for your trailer. This type of a capture plate dramatically cuts the installation time and efforts just slipping over the king pin box. Quick Connect Capture Plates are held in place by the set screws that are only meant for use to prevent the plate from falling off, but not to be tight against the side wall of the king pin box.
Once your trailer is connected to the hitch, the pie-shaped wedge of the capture plate locks out the king pin and holds it in place preventing any turning. That's what actually makes the hitch itself perform and allows the SuperGlide to rotate and slide back when the truck is making a turn.
