    Description

    Hello and thank you for looking at my Pat Smear Foo Fighters concert used, played, smashed, and signed guitar piece. Rather than tell you the story I will simply just copy and paste what is on the plaque that it comes with. This should answer your questions as to what this amazing piece is.....
    STAGE PLAYED, SMASHED & SIGNED

    GUITAR FROM THE FOO FIGHTERS
    “ECHOES, SILENCE, PATIENCE, & GRACE” TOUR
    ON 10/8/2007
    AT THE WACHOVIA ARENA
    I
    N WILKES-BARRE, PA. PAT SMEAR WAS THE
    "4TH MEMBER" OF NIRVANA & IS A MEMBER OF
    THE FOO FIGHTERS. DURING "SEE YOU", DAVE
    GROHL INTRODUCED THE BAND MEMBERS. PAT
    DECIDED TO PLAY A PRANK ON GROHL. RATHER
    THAN PLAYING THE SOLO WITH DAVE'S PERSONAL
    GIBSON GUITAR, HE SWAPPED IT WITH ANOTHER GUITAR,
    WITHOUT GROHL KNOWING. AFTER PLAYING HIS
    SOLO, SMEAR SMASHED IT TO PIECES, MUCH TO GROHL'S
    AMUSEMENT. THE SET CARPENTER'S SON WAS BACKSTAGE
    AND GROHL'S GUITAR TECH GAVE HIM THIS
    PIECE.
    WHILE PAT & KEYBOARDIST RAMI JAFFEE WERE OFF
    STAGE
    RIGHT, THE FAN ASKED PAT TO SIGN THIS.
    PAT ASKED "WHAT IS THIS?" AND JAFFEE LAUGHED
    & SAID "IT'S A PIECE OF YOUR GUITAR DUDE!". THAT IS
    WHEN PAT SIGNED IT "HEY- THIS IS MY GUITAR!".
    I also included a photo of the show description that I found on The Foo Fighters website.
    Guitar piece is about 4.5" x 14". Aluminum plaque is approximately 8" x 10". The plaque is suitable for framing or hanging on the wall. You will receive the signed guitar piece, plaque, and COA.
